JK4 Endeavour

Endeavour was built in 1934 as part of the America’s Cup campaign. Lovingly restored in the early 1990’s by Elizabeth Meyer of Newport RI, Endeavour has been sailing and racing worldwide. Joseph Curcio served as the engineer aboard Endeavour, sailing thousands of miles that included numerous Atlantic crossings and charter seasons in the Mediterranean and Caribbean. As engineer, Joe was responsible for millions of dollars worth of upgrades and refits over a decade-long engagement with Endeavour. Primary systems on board include a diesel propulsion system, two diesel generators, water-makers, full HVAC system, refrigeration systems, and various other DC and AC powered systems. Engineers aboard offshore yachts are challenged with maintaining complex systems with minimal tools, spares and supplies on board.
